Bingo – The World’s Most Popular Game
Bingo is reputedly the world's most popular game. It is such a simple game and yet it is very diverse. It is played in countries all over the world and of course it is now played on the internet which means that anyone with a terminal and internet connection has access to it, and can play and win or lose money playing.
How to Play Bingo
Bingo is a game of chance where players attempt to match randomly selected numbered balls from a bin or box or other container that can hold bingo balls, with numbers displayed on corresponding bingo cards. A bingo caller calls out the letter and number on the ball that is randomly selected. For example, in 75-ball bingo, he or she will call out “B1!” or “G72!” There are several types of bingo to play - either 75-ball bingo or 90-ball bingo. The first individual with a card that matches all of the balls called in a specified pattern wins.
To let your fellow bingo players know that you've won a game, players traditionally yell out “BINGO!” Once confirmed by a spotter or the online game, a player receives the contents of the pot that was wagered for the game, also known as a bingo jackpot.
So you buy your Bingo Cards and wait for the Bingo Caller to start calling out numbers. Then you use your Bingo Daubers to mark off the numbers on your cards and try to match the Bingo Pattern. If you think you've won, you yell “BINGO!”
The Bingo Card
In the casino game of bingo, game cards are distributed to players, and each card contains a unique collection of numbers. Before the game begins, a pattern is announced. Games can be in various patterns, including 5-In-A-Row, blackout, or many other combinations. Players must match their card numbers with the numbers randomly called by the bingo caller. Once all players have their cards, the bingo caller begins to draw balls one at a time from a basket of 75 balls.
Each player searches his card for the called number, and if they find it, they mark it with a bingo card marking tool known as a dauber. Once the number on a bingo ball is called, it is marked and set aside so that it cannot be called again. Eventually someone will yell “Bingo!” and, once that person's bingo cards are checked for authenticity by a bingo spotter, that particular game of bingo is over. The balls are also returned to their home, and players purchase new bingo cards for the next game.
The number of numerical possibilities on a bingo card is endless and the chances of two or more players buying the same card in the same game are slim.
